Thanks to all who participated in the Gay Money Gayme with special thanks to our member booths including The Law Office of Kelley Dwyer, He’s For Me (H4M), Pride Socks, A*FAB Austin, City of Austin Health & Human Services, Polari Festival, The Care Communities, PFLAG, and Big Gay Mascots The Handsome Father. With their help, we collected over 3,000 Gay Dollars and gave out over 500 "Big Gay Bags". Did you get a chance to see our “Big Gay Bag” mascots? Catch them at the AIDS Walk on October 20th!

The Agenda is OUT

The 4th edition to AGLCC’s “The Agenda” is OUT and features a cover of Austin performance artist Erica Nix and articles on #iamequality & LGBTQ youth as well as a listing of essential LGBTQ-friendly businesses all in an expanded 64 pages. Pick up your copy at any Whole Foods, at many of our member locations, or at our September Happy Hour tomorrow, 6:30pm, at Work It Personal Training!

AGLCC Honored in the Austin Chronicle's "Best of Austin"

The AGLCC (of “Keep Austin Queer’d”) was honored along with the Austin Independence Business Alliance (of “Keep Austin Weird” fame) as the Best Shop-Local Portals in the Austin Chronicle’s 2013 “Best of Austin” Awards on September 17th. It Gets Better

"It Gets Better" comes to Austin!

This Friday, September 20th, the touring show “It Gets Better” comes to the Long Center. A collaboration by L.A.’s Speak Theater Arts, the Gay Men’s Chorus of Los Angeles and the It Gets Better Project, this musical performance provides a performing arts response to the difficult issue of bullying, one of the most challenging issues among today’s young adults and adolescents. The performance at the Long Center will involve a number of Austin musicians, including members of the Capital City Men’s Chorus, Conspirare and Amphion, in a program designed to inspire and open minds.

AIDS Walk

AIDS Walk Austin

Austin’s annual AIDS Walk is coming up quickly! This year’s walk will Kick off at Republic Square Park and travel through the Capital Grounds with live music and local food throughout the day. If you are interested in helping Team AGLCC raise funds, please register at Team AGLCC's page. In addition, there are special sponsorship opportunities for AGLCC members.
